It was their teacher, Renate Kramer-Preisenhammer, who first suggested that they study original compositions for four hands and for two
pianos. They furthered their training through master classes with Karl Ulrich Schnabel in Freiburg and Franz Rupp in Lockenhaus. |
| Their artistic path is documented by prizes in both national and international
competitions, (including first prize in the section Piano Duo in Stresa in 1986). They have also earned recognition by such awards as the Boesendorfer
Stipend, Special Award of the International Schubert-competition Graz/Austria 1992, the Cultural Development prize of the province of Burgenland, the Music Award of the
Kery-Foundation, and the Erich Schenk-Award of the Mozart Society Vienna. |
